Role

·        Developing and supporting geospatial research capabilities and GIS workspaces.

·        Producing cartographic and infographic output using advanced automated processes.

·        Working with research and analyst teams to address data feedback and complete data integration tasks.

·        Maintaining and expanding Web Mapping Services (WMS).

·        Supporting the provision of spatial data feeds to clients.

·        Producing ad-hoc geospatial data analysis, and project-based maps and reports as required.

·        Opportunity to develop Geospatial Data Analysis/ Science skills and career progression within a broader, expanding development and data analytics team.

 

Requirements

·        Excellent degree with a strong numeric and analytical element, preferably with a 2.1 or above.

·        GIS experience (QGIS, MapInfo, ArcGIS)

·        Knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript, C#, Adobe Illustrator is useful but not essential.

·        Experience in working with large, complex data sets.

·        An active interest in global trade, economics and statistics.

·        Keen interest in the latest technology and approaches to spatial data processing, validation and storage.

  

Salary                                   £32,500 plus bonus and benefits
