Business Analyst / Project Manager (Hybrid) – Asset Management

A leading Asset Manager is seeking a Hybrid Business Analyst / Project Manager to support expanding its business activities in Australia. This role will be instrumental in defining and implementing the business operating model, corporate structures, and regulatory frameworks required to support the initiative.

Responsibilities:
Capture and document business requirements, define high-level target-state solutions, and develop a structured phase plan for implementation.
Work with internal teams and external advisors to establish the necessary corporate, legal, regulatory, and operational structures for expanding into the Australian market.
Collaborate with operations, technology, legal, finance, compliance, risk, HR, and distribution teams to ensure alignment and impact assessment.
Prepare requirement specifications, feasibility assessments, solution documentation, and process models (Visio BPMN).
Track activities, manage risks and decisions, and contribute to high-level planning using Gantt charts and PowerPoint presentations.
Support the selection and engagement of new third-party service providers as part of the business expansion.

Experience:

  • Asset Management Experience (Essential) – Strong background in asset management, particularly in distribution/sales models, fund structures, and new fund launches.
  • Business & Regulatory Understanding – Knowledge of how new business structures impact various corporate functions.
  • Analytical & Documentation Skills – Ability to produce high-quality documentation, including diagrams, process maps, RFPs, and strategic materials.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management – Experience in engaging senior business stakeholders, external advisors, and service providers to drive initiatives forward.
  • Proactive & Detail-Oriented – Ability to identify key areas for investigation, drive progress, and manage multiple workstreams effectively.
  • Australian Asset Management / Regulatory Landscape Experience (Desirable) – Knowledge of the Australian market would be beneficial but not mandatory.
