Electrical Assembler/ Electricians Mate

My client is a manufacturer of bespoke heat exchange units and are based in Seaham. They are looking for an electrical assembler/ electricians mate to join their team initially on a temporary basis for 3-4 months but could be extended depending on order levels.Main duties will include supporting electricians in the following:· Follow and understand job sheet to know what is required· Mentor apprentices· Build controllers· Panel build· Drill panels· Wire and commission panels· Measure cable lengths· Wire, commission and test units· Prep and wire electrical accessories e.g. Solenoids, stats and isolators· Communicate with stores to find out delivery dates of essential componentsAlso, you will be required to support with carrying out general electrical maintenance during machine breakdowns.The ideal candidate should have the following skills:- Minimum 12 months experience in electrical assembly/ electricians mate role in a production environment.- Knowledge of electrical systems and hand tools- Ability to use electrical and hand tools safely- Solid understanding of electrical safety guidelines and regulations- Strong problem-solving skillsHours of work are 2 week rotating shift patternWeek 1: 7am – 3pmWeek 2: 3pm-11pmPay rate is £12.10 per hour with £1.50 shift allowance for back shift
