About the RoleProvide operational leadership and support for shutdown preparation and execution, including isolation strategies, ramp-down and handover processes, leak testing, and compliance with technical standards. Drive team performance, safety culture, and effective communication while coordinating across disciplines to ensure an efficient, incident-free shutdown.ResponsibilitiesManage the development of the Drain, Flush and Purge Strategy.Working with the Process EA3, manage the development of the boundary isolation philosophy.Coordinate isolation and de-isolations for all shutdown scopes.Coordinate the author of decommissioning and recommissioning NROs.Lead the production ramp down philosophy as per agreed Business Plan.Lead the phased system handover as per agreed Shutdown Plan.Lead back end PSSR activities and systems handover for leak test.Close liaison with Flange Manager throughout the shutdown process.Develop and ownership of the leak testing strategy, including contingency planning.Manage the develop the production team rota for cover and increased resource during key shutdown dates.Close liaison with Process Engineer supporting the asset.Provide regular shutdown progress updates and priorities across all shifts.Lead Operations status updates at weekly shutdown meetings.Close liaison with Production Team Lead and Production Supervisors.Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate technical and Operational standards and specifications are met and adhered to.Close liaison with Support Engineers and TAs to ensure all Production Related Technical Queries have been closed out and approved.Provide Production support to Shutdown Delivery Lead when assessing break in activities.Provide operations input to CeSAR Scope Change process.Develop process ICCs for shutdown intrusive activities up to the ready to be Verified status, including Process Isolation Plans, Isolation Selection Tool etc, mapping all BoCs to appropriate re-instatement testing i.e. to a test pack, TQ deviation or reverse integrity joint.Work with maintenance supervisor to ensure an RV delivery strategy is in place and supported by the production team during execution.Act as PSSR operations focal point during execution phase.Coordinate NRO HAZOPs.Act as operations focal point for DRB meetings and provide input to steering committee meetings as required.QualificationsDegree or equivalent industry experience in similar role.Required SkillsBuilds and leads a high-performing team accountable for team performance and delivery as well as their wellbeing and development.Leads and instils technical and professional excellence, ensuring capabilities remain in line with industry/discipline/function development and best practice.Communicates and influences with impact, clarity, and conviction, leading effective change and providing regular and appropriate team, business and organisation updates.Consults and listens, taking on ideas, building rapport and enabling effective two-way communication.Leads the development and management of their workforce and resourcing plan effectively, within the strategic planning cycle, over a medium/long-term time horizon, ensuring employee wellbeing (holidays, working time, etc.) is given due consideration alongside business and cost requirements.Emphasises the importance of environmental, social and governance criteria.Proactively works towards making the organisation socially responsible in all aspects of its business.Leads the performance management process across their team; is clear on the strategic objectives of the organisation and communicates/clarifies the role their team plays in their delivery; ensures every employee has clear goals and objectives and are provided with continuous feedback in a timely, honest, and constructive manner.Role models and coaches their managers and teams in living the Values, demonstration of high standards of behaviour, performance management and employee development.Sponsors skills, competency, and career development, in line with the organisation’s policy and process.Encourages development through lateral moves as well as challenging assignments and progression, fostering breadth and depth of skill and competency development.A decisive leader who sets high standards and drives performance – leading through leaders to deliver through their teams.Is agile, flexible, open to challenge and able to challenge appropriately.Great communication skills that informs/shares knowledge clearly and unambiguously, influences and persuades in a constructive way, sometimes influencing a change in the course of conversations, to gain agreement and collaboration.Demonstrable experience in complex and ambiguous situations – able to adopt a calm and composed mentality that promotes proactivity and deals with disagreements, problems and issues in an open and constructive manner.Leads and promotes organisational change; makes collaborative, high-quality and timely decisions; takes informed risks and learns from failures.
