SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant to be based at our client’s site in Solihull.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

Role summary:

• Extensive SAP PM Functional Consultancy Experience
• S/4 HANA Functional Consultants experienced in working in functional and technical Scrum Teams to deliver the Record to Report Value Stream.
• Leading, organising, developing and executing customer facing Fit To Standard and Solution Validation Workshops.
• Track record of successful technology design, build, test and deployment.
• Develop extensive and comprehensive knowledge of current state business process, solution design and challenges.
• Present future state industry standard processes.Secure business global process owner buy-in to operate in an industry standard way.
• Develop and present solutions for business scenarios that cannot be satisfied by industry standard S4 HANA.
• Experience of Scaled Agile Scrum S4 HANA and BTP delivery with Developers and Teams distributed across multiple geographies.
• Manages the delivery execution of an agreed scope of work.
• Develop and secure approval for an agreed solution to be configured and or developed and or integrated in S4 HANA and or BTP and or SAP Cloud modules.
• Develop a definition of the project's data requirements, data strategy and ETL documents. Validate data readiness in all SAP environments to support all testing, dry runs, cutover, go live and BAU operation.
• Develop a definition of the project's integration requirements.
• Maintain delivery to schedule and communicate to all stakeholders.
• Manage the collaboration and outcomes from functional consultants, global process owners, business process leads, business SMEs, IT SMEs, Business Product Owners, IT Product Managers.
• Report status as periodically and ad hoc as agreed and defined in the Agile governance model.
• Attend key Agile Scrum events.
• Monitor progress and acts to proactively resolve emerging concerns.
• Manage logging interdependencies, resolution of issues and mitigation of risks. Escalate as risk and issues appropriate.
• Act on escalations received.

Dimension of Function:

Our SAP Consultant will be responsible for Functional and process delivery across the assigned Value Streams at the customers manufacturing plants and other locations.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Works upstream with Product Managers to understand the product backlog and proposals in the pipeline.
• PM Master Data Records –Planning plant, Functional location, Work Centers, Configuring and Equipment Master.
• Master Data Creation – Equipment master, Equipment task list, Functional location, BOM.
• Configured Work Permit
• Performed unit testing in development server and prepared test results.
• Performed integration testing with other modules and prepare test results.
• End user training to the key users.
• Performed user acceptance testing and prepared test results.
• Uploaded master data through LSMW and BDC.
• Went through the entire project life cycle scoping and planning, process design, configuration, Testing, Deployment, Post GO-Live support and then involved in continuous improvement phase implementations.
• Meeting with business to gather requirements and discuss the status update of the project.
• Transport sequencing and validation of configuration of production client.
• Training to users on system usage and user manual preparation
• Worked on different Notification types and activity reports.
• Worked with key users to develop all maintenance General task lists for Equipment’s and Functional Locations.
• Configured Planner Groups, Maintenance Planning plant.
• Configured Catalog Profile and cause code for Equipment master data.
• Maintained Functional Specifications for Master Data Processing, Maintenance Processing, Preventive Maintenance Processing.
• Use of Production Resource /Tools (PRT) for Documents such as drawing or Files for which Document Management functions.

Knowledge / Experience:

• Significant experience in complex project/program environments.
• Ticket handling and resolution within the SLA as part of the ongoing production system support.
• Responsible for handling incident management issues.
• Work with ABAP team for the providing the functional inputs, code logic and functional testing.
• Interact with key users and business users for the problem identification and resolution.
• Worked on SAP Basis Module - Handled User administration and role/profile assignment. Role Creation, Modification and Full trouble shooting support for the user’s authorization failures, Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly. New User creations, assignment of roles, guiding users in raising GRC requests, Deactivating user accounts.
• Worked on SAP ARIBA support-Provided User Training on ARIBA, handled issues related to ARIBA on Supplier Process and Service End Process, Purchase Order related issues
