Due to continuing growth, we are seeking an experienced Lead Safety Instructor to join our training team in Inverness.The Lead Safety Instructor shall be responsible for all aspects of training delivery within their specialist area in accordance with company, accrediting body and industry requirements.Key Responsibilities:Delivery of training within the specialist area in accordance with company and accrediting body requirements.Ensuring relevant documentation is completed, recorded and maintained in company systems and submitted to accrediting bodies as necessary.Supervision of training instructors to provide guidance and support to ensure consistency and quality of training delivery, centre presentation and training maintenance activities.Participating in standardisation and continuing professional development (CPD) events and activities as required.Support the internal and external quality process to ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.Support the facilitation of centre visits.Reviewing and updating course content and development within the specialist area as necessary in conjunction with the Director of Training.Administering and grading examinations as necessary and provide feedback to delegates.Enforcing all training policies, procedures and safety practices.Conducting relevant safety inspections of all associated equipment and updating maintenance documentation.Experience & QualificationsEssential:Proven experience and capability within specialist area of instruction.Knowledge of learning theories and methods of instruction.Good IT skills and knowledge of software applications, such as the MS Office package.Excellent communication, relationship building and presentation skills.Strong organisational skills to co-ordinate and deliver training activities.Desirable:Instructional / teaching qualification at level 3 or above.A current assessing or IQA qualification (or be willing to work towards gaining).Technical background.Safeguarding qualification (or be willing to work towards gaining).Health and Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH or suitable equivalent).Salary dependent on experience.
