Technical On Site Architect for London Team
Location: London
Permanent position, with some Hybrid WFH

At Eden Brown, we are excited to partner with a leading architectural practice seeking a Senior Architect to work as a Technical Lead on site. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to work on high-profile UK housing and mixed use projects in a collaborative, design-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities for this role will be to:
  1. Attend sites regularly to provide technical guidance, resolve queries, and ensure quality control.
  2. Be a proactive member of weekly on-site Design Team Meetings and workshops, working closely with structural engineers, M&E subcontractors, and site inspectors.
  3. Offer creative and practical solutions to construction challenges as they arise.
  4. Deliver fully detailed construction packages to meet Building Regulation approvals.
  5. Leverage your expertise in High-Risk Building projects to ensure design excellence and compliance.
  6. Take ownership of project leadership, including resource and financial management.
  7. Oversee contract administration and conduct progress inspections during construction.
  8. Contribute technical or design information within agreed timeframes while maintaining studio standards.
  9. Stay informed on current technical advancements and legislation, ensuring compliance and innovation.
  10. Support and report to senior leadership (Associate Director, Director, or Partner) within a collaborative project team.
  11. Participate in regular site visits and team meetings, offering technical insights and ensuring project alignment.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in architectural project delivery, especially within High-Risk Building environments.
  2. Strong technical design skills with a commitment to maintaining studio quality standards.
  3. Ability to adapt and provide alternative solutions to construction challenges efficiently.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including experience managing resources and project budgets.
  5. A proactive approach to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and staying abreast of industry trends.
