DescriptionIts an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. We aim to become a very different organisation over the next few years as we move to a modern multi-platform digitally enabled organisation.We now have exciting opportunities within our Payroll Team. These are great roles for experienced payrollers to take the next step utilising and increasing their experience across complex payroll activities with responsibility across the entire process.The payroll team provides the end-to-end payroll process for multiple clients across three different platforms amounting to in excess of 39000 payslips monthlyDuties will include but are not limited to the following:Take ownership of one or more client payrolls completing the end-to-end monthly payroll processesResolve complex and challenging queries (including General Ledger) through a variety of channels in line with agreed SLAsCalculate complex overpayments (e.g. across multiple tax years) both manually and using QTax Pro4 and/or HMRC calculatorsCalculate and check statutory payments (SMP ShPP SSP etc) with legislative knowledge Work closely with the Client Stakeholders providing responses to complex queries and overpaymentsRun downloads of inbound ODEX tax notificationsPerform pension checks and respond to pension queries both from the end users stakeholders and pension providersApprove childcare voucher payments and administer Cycle to Work.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client and internal teams (e.g. pensions team) external customers and third-party providers alikePeer check cash advances P45 New Starter Checklist entries 3rd party submissions (online and to Finance)Run monthly reporting requirements for clientProcess court ordersComplete the roll-back and submission of RTICreate Settlement runs submitting to the the Client for approvalTo do this role well you will need the following:Previous experience working within a payroll department handling large or multiple payrollsCIPP qualification or equivalent level of payroll experienceEducated to GSCE level or equivalent including Maths and EnglishWorking knowledge of up-to-date statutory payroll guidelines and best practiceExperience of working with Workday or similar ERPStrong Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tablesHigh level of attention to detailStrong organisational skillsAdept at problem solving and comfortable working to deadlinesSupervisory or coaching experience would be highly advantageousAbility to explain payroll information to non-payroll colleagues and end usersFor additional information and a confidential discussion please contact our Recruitment Team on We are an inclusive and Disability Confident employer and welcome all applications.Find out more about our equality diversity and inclusion commitments on our website.UKSBS does not hold a Home Office Sponsor Licence under the UK Immigration System therefore candidates are required to have eligibility to live and work in the UK prior to applying.We look forward to hearing from you.We are UKSBS.
