The role is part of the Global Engineering, Digital & Automation team, which supports capital project delivery across various manufacturing sites, including distillation, brewing, spirits and beer packaging, and maturation warehousing. Specifically, the position focuses on supporting Diageo's Digital Supply Chain initiative by driving specific workstreams related to Operational Technology infrastructure improvements.

Baseline Project Engineering Requirements:

  • Develop requirement specifications in collaboration with internal teams, such as Operations.
  • Utilize specialist knowledge to deliver capex projects to the correct technical specification.
  • Develop cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Manage efficient spending for capex projects.
  • Coordinate and manage external resources.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including capital approval, financial data management (spend and forecast), and project closure.
  • Manage and oversee commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Exhibit exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and proactively with cross-functional teams and internal customers about plans, products, issues, timelines, and solution value.
  • Programme management experience within large FMCG organizations (preferred).

Specialist Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems, demonstrating extensive IT/OT integration expertise.
  • Experience in delivering Packaging Machinery, Line Management & Control Systems.
  • Proficiency in project delivery related to Server Hardware, Virtualisation, and Industrial Networking Technologies.
  • Experience in manufacturing cybersecurity risk management.
  • Expertise in Continuous Process Control systems project delivery.
  • Proficiency in reviewing solution designs using logical and physical diagrams.

Education:

  • Degree in a science/engineering discipline.
  • Recognized Project Management competence certification.
