A leading Global Insurance Company is currently recruiting for a Catastrophe Modelling Lead to lead their new catastrophe modelling function.The Catastrophe Modelling Lead will play a critical role in assessing and quantifying risks associated with natural and man-made catastrophe perils.This position requires a deep understanding of catastrophe modelling techniques, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholdersThis will be mostly focused on the underwriting units to start with as the Underwriting business growsThe successful candidate will be starting this from scratch and making the function as slick as possibleExperience* We are looking for someone from an underwriting background * Bachelor's or further degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related discipline. * 7+ years of experience in catastrophe modelling or related field, with demonstrated expertise in the commonly used modelling techniques, software platforms, and risk assessment and aggregation methodologies.
