Finance AssistantLocation: Ellesmere PortContract: PermanentHours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per weekHybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days at homeSalary: £25,000 - £27,000 + Bonus We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic finance team responsible for managing all financial operations across the group. This role requires flexibility to support various finance functions and ad hoc duties, ensuring smooth financial processes and accurate reporting. Tasks & responsibilities include:Daily reconciliation of bank account(s), including posting to Sage for any payments/ receiptsResponsibility for the operation of the Purchase Ledger Reconciliation Responsibility for the operation of the Sales Ledger - including the weekly Debtor reviewsDaily submission of Direct DebitsWeekly Payment collections - TTA / ACAS / Travel Ledger / Direct DebitAdministering supplier paymentsWeekly Refund RunPreparation of Monthly SpreadsheetsSupporting the team with reconciliations and ad hoc tasks that will assist with the preparation of management accountsLiaising with the operations department on any queries that may ariseDealing with queries from tour operators and travel agentsProvide reports to assist with the audit of data heldWe are looking for:Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot tablesExperience of dealing with large volumes of data Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for time management, accuracy and organisation.Experience using Microsoft Office applications.A self-motivated team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and make informed decisions - we'd love it if you're a keen problem solver, creative thinker or can demonstrate commercial acumen.A Level Maths / Accountancy / working towards AAT, or relevant experience in a similar role would be beneficial.BenefitsAnnual company bonus.33 days annual leave (including bank holidays).5% matched company pension contribution.Modern office with on-site gym, relaxation areas, and bar.Internal training academy for personal development.Additional wellbeing and happiness benefits.Interested?
