We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Redhill, Surrey, working on a large mains rehabilitation project under the Thames Water Capital Delivery Water Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a significant infrastructure project that is essential for the community.


As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for working closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with the scope of the project, accurately reporting actual costs and estimated costs to ensure transparency and accountability


Day-to-Day Duties:


  • Prepare and monitor project estimates and budgets.
  • Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Analyse cost data to identify variances and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure financial controls are in place.
  • Provide detailed financial reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to ensure project adherence to budgetary controls.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the water or infrastructure sectors.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Professional accreditation (RICS or similar) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of NEC forms of contracts
  • Ability to manage data accurately and efficiently
