Description Salary Per annum Part Time 20 hours per week (Fixed term 27/03/2026) Larkholme Primary School International Sponsorship this role isnotopento international sponsorshipUnit Catering Supervisor (Grade 4)Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire serving over 60000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service.You will lead and work as part of a team at Abbey Village Primary School Abbey village Blackburn providing high quality healthy balanced meals for school children.Key responsibilities:Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plansDirect and/or supervise other employeesOrder supplies and store deliveriesMaintain records and stock controlMaintain agreed standards and associated documentation in relation to food and kitchen hygieneWhat we are looking for:Experience of large-scale cateringKnowledge of food service and catering in generalOrganisational cost control and supervisory skillsRecognised supervisor or team leader qualification would be desirableWorking Hours/Days: This is a Fixed Term position (until 27/03/2026 Minimum) covering staff absenceMonday to Friday 4 hrs per dayTerm time only 4 cleaning days during the school closure20 hours per week although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake.In return Lancashire County Council offers a range of benefits which can be found on LCC Vacancies website.We reserve the right to close down a vacancy early before the closing date if we receive sufficient applications.The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
