We’re looking for someone to elevate Claims Media and Yorkshire Legal into go-to sources for recognition, professional development, news, and insights in the insurance and legal sectors. 


You will be highly organised and proactive, capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities effectively. You’ll have strong writing skills and a knack for digital marketing. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and produce engaging content for various platforms (including website updates, video content, social media posts, email marketing, media-savvy reports/whitepapers, and event materials). 
  • Measure the success of campaigns and apply what you’ve learned to improve future content. 
  • Produce and publish daily content for Claims Media and Yorkshire Legal News: curate content from press releases, secure exclusives, and conduct one-to-one interviews with experts. 
  • Source contributors and assist in creating the bi-monthly publication Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer. 
  • Lead the marketing and promotion of Claims Media and Yorkshire Legal events and conferences (currently eight) and Yorkshire Legal Jobs. 
  • Assist in preparing for events, including designing judging criteria, writing scripts, and curating judging panels and conference speakers. 
  • Curate, edit, and distribute weekly newsletters filled with exclusives and relevant insights. 
  • Build strong relationships with relevant partners and stay on top of emerging trends in the insurance and legal sectors to establish your brands as leaders in their respective fields. 
  • Occasionally attend internal and external events nationally for networking and reportage. 


Skills and experience 

Required: 

  • Interest in legal and insurance sectors and a willingness to learn more. 
  • A minimum of 2 years' editorial or marketing experience, with a portfolio of published work. 
  • Excellent command of the English language, with strong grammar and writing skills. 
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Good eye for detail. 


Desirable: 

  • Familiarity with SEO principles and content management systems (WordPress). 
  • Experience with Canva, MailChimp, Google Analytics, and social media platforms (X, TikTok, LinkedIn). 
  • Proficiency in using Apple/MacBook Pro. 
  • Experience filming mobile-friendly video content and comfortable in front of the camera.
