Group Financial Controller | Independent Creative Agency | 9-12 month FTC

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering one of the most successful Independent Creative Agency groups with their search for a Group Financial Controller. Turning over around £150mill, they have a current headcount of around 200 out of their London office and another 18 offices globally.

The agency has strong focus on social media and online communities to deliver world class outputs for their brands. They are values led throughout all the work they do and how they look after their employees.

The Role:

You will focus on all aspects of accounting, treasury and line managing junior finance team members as well as supporting the finance function in moving to the next phase of its development. The Group Financial Controller will serve as the primary contact for all financial accounting and treasury related issues and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the group's accounting records. You will also be responsible for full ownership of all reporting to ensure that this is done on a timely basis, is accurate, follows accounting policies and in a format that promotes engagement and good financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and perform all accounting duties for effective and smooth running of the retail accounts finance department
  • Manage month end reporting - providing high quality management reporting and analysis
  • Financial Accounting & Control
  • Ensure revenue and costs are fully supported and effectively managed
  • Treasury and Working Capital - optimising the cash position by ensuring a tight control on the Working Capital environment
  • Lead the quarterly and annual group IFRS audits, and the annual UK statutory audits and accounts process
  • Manage the monthly Group forecasting and annual budgeting process
  • Manage cash flow to ensure cash surplus to meet all financial & cost commitments.
  • Supporting the Finance Director & CFO with Board reporting, high-level analysis and ad hoc requests
  • Line managing junior-mid finance team members

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • At least 2 years' post qualified experience working in in a Group role
  • Experience of establishing internal controls and processes through process automation
  • Strong attention to detail, communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-rounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Creative Agency / Media experience

Start Date: ASAP - immediately available or short notice periods

Salary: £90-110K

Location: Central London / Hybrid
