Join a leading £180 million turnover manufacturing company with a significant international presence. Headquartered in Derby, the company operates several sites across the UK, Poland, India, and China. Each site operates as an independent entity within the group, ensuring a dynamic and diverse working environment.The Basildon site has a turnover of £25 million. They are seeking a Site Controller responsible for this location, working independently and reporting directly to the site director.Role Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Oversee month-end close processes, prepare forecasts and budgets, and maintain tight control over the balance sheet.
  • Audit and Compliance: Liaise with auditors for year-end processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with the site director, actively participate in site business reviews, and provide financial insights for decision-making.
  • Support Functions: Utilize support from shared service centers (SSC) in Derby and India for transactional postings, and review their work to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A strong manufacturing background, Ideally qualified
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Financial Controller or Financial Controller
  • Strong capability to work independently, with a deep understanding of standard costing and financial controls within a manufacturing context
