Job DescriptionThis role focuses on producing accurate build-ready EPLAN Electric design packs for BMS control panels used across HVAC plant and building services.You will convert specifications and control philosophies into schematics and documentation that enable efficient manufacture testing and installation.Day-to-day you will create schematics GA layouts wiring and terminal schedules I/O schedules cable lists and BOMs and generate production outputs (wire lists marker data drilling files). Designs will comply with BS EN 61439 and BS 7671 covering protection coordination segregation earthing EMC and thermal considerations. You will select and arrange hardware I/O modules relays contactors starters VSD interfaces isolators MCBs and UPS arrangements.Network topologies will typically include BACnet/IP BACnet MS/TP Modbus RTU/TCP and M-Bus with clear addressing and documentation for commissioning.The role will also support the companys shift from manual to semi-automated manufacturing. You will help develop standard templates symbol libraries macros reporting formats and digital work instructions. EPLAN outputs will be used to drive automated cut/strip/print CNC drilling and consistent labelling reducing RFIs and rework.You will contribute to FAT procedures produce as-builts and coordinate with production and site teams to close issues quickly.What you gainClear ownership of EPLAN deliverables from design through FAT and into as-built documentation.Exposure to manufacturing methods and DFM/DFT building practical understanding of how design choices affect build time and quality.A defined route to influence standards (libraries macros QA checklists) with visibility of the impact on throughput and right-first-time rates.What success looks likeWeeks 14: EPLAN packs issued to standard; minimal clarifications; correct reports generated for manufacture.By 3 months: libraries/macros adopted by the team; measurable reduction in build queries and clearer labelling/test documentation.By 612 months: semi-automated outputs embedded end-to-end on typical panels; reduced rework and shorter build cycles evidenced by production metrics.Package and locationOffice-based in Buckinghamshire.
