We are seeking a People & Culture Assistant to join our role you will play a part in shaping the human resources policies and practices that align with our organisational goals and values. The ideal candidate will want to learn the foundations and fundamentals of HR functions including recruitment employee relations performance management and compliance with employment laws. As a People & Culture Assistant you will support the HR department in implementing effective HR strategies that enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture. A strong focus on professional development and training of our workforce will also be a part of your responsibilities. If you are passionate about human resources and are looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact we would love to hear from you.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:To provide HR and administrative support for all recruitment and induction processes in order to ensure vacancies are suitably filled and new employees introduced to the business in a timely and efficient manner. Including developing job descriptions with hiring managers preparing job adverts shortlisting interviewing selecting candidates and preparation of contracts.Report on HR/People metricsLearn to manage all frontline HR queriesHelp to guide and educate managers and employees in the policies and proceduresSupport the management of the administration of payroll benefits and HSE system monthly. Administration of the HRIS (BambooHR) including Personnel filesAdministration of Leaver and return to work ProcessesTo support manage employee probationary periods with the line manager and individual.Occupational Health Surveillance programmeTo help facilitate and drive completion of the annual performance review process ensuring all meetings take place are documented and objectives / development needs are captured.HSE Support for client portal reviews and Inspections.Creation of the monthly HR/People newsletter to all employeesTravel to other UK locations to meet and speak with DYWIDAG employeesLiaise with external training providers and support with courses for employeesTo provide support with the Head of People and Culture to line managers on matters relating to disciplinary performance sickness absence ensuring understanding of HR policy and the correct process is followed.To contribute to the provision of advice and support for organisational change including liaison and negotiation with employees.Maintain and develop strong employee and manager relationshipsEXPERIENCE:Work experience within a corporate settingExcel ability and understandingAbility to handle confidential informationGood communication skills both verbally and writtenOrganisation skills: Can manage own time and prioritise workload.Strong secretarial skills ability to use Microsoft Office.Join our 1500 specialists working across 10 sectors in more than 50 countries.The next stages of our recruitment process could include telephone face-to-face or virtual interview with the Hiring Manager and a member of our HR teamWhat else do I need to knowSafer stronger smarter.
