The roleAsan Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Youll be at the heart of developing delivering and supporting radiometric characterisation and alarm systems across the UK and internationally. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to nuclear safety and innovation while advancing your career in a highly specialised and impactful field.Day-to-day youll develop and verify technical solutions ensuring compliance with safety and quality standardsLead investigations and drive design improvements across projectsCollaborate with internal teams customers and suppliers to manage specifications and deliverySupport project execution and mentor junior engineersPromote engineering excellence health and safety and cultural change across the businessThis is a full-time role with a 37-hour working week based at one of our key locations Moor Row (Cumbria) Warrington (Cheshire) Leicester (Leicestershire) or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available with an expectation of 23 days per week in the office. Travel to customer sites such as Sellafield Nottingham Dounreay and Capenhurst may be required.Essential experience of the Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer:Working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams across varied project typesCommunicating effectively with internal and external stakeholdersDelivering systems input and providing post-installation or third-line technical supportLiaising with customers and suppliers on-site for testing installation and commissioningBackground in EC&I Physics or Radiometric with experience in control systems and analogue/digital electronicsQualifications for the Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer:Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics control and instrumentation or a related disciplineChartered Engineer status or actively working towards it Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
