Maintenance EngineerLocation: Cullompton Salary: £46,537.08Rotating Shifts: 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm/10am - 6pmOverview of this Maintenance Engineer role: - Responsible for the overall maintenance of the site, encompassing both planned and reactive tasks, fault finding, and plant optimization.- Primary focus on ensuring electric and mechanical safety, maximizing plant availability and efficiency, and upholding safety, feed safety, quality, and health & safety standards.Key Accountabilities of this Maintenance Engineer role: - Ensure constant Electrical & Mechanical safety on-site.- Execute risk-assessed work only on safely isolated equipment, adhering to safety protocols.- Prioritize high standards of safety, feed safety, and quality.- Conduct planned preventative maintenance according to the Agility CMMS system.- Collaborate with operators for equipment availability during planned maintenance.- Respond to breakdowns promptly and be available on a rota basis for out-of-hours breakdowns.- Assist in maintaining an organized stock of spare parts and order as necessary using the P2P system.- Perform maintenance tasks efficiently to minimize plant downtime.- Monitor and report plant conditions regularly.- Support internal hygiene and uphold high standards in the workshop and work area.- Contribute to identifying energy cost-saving initiatives.- Assist in supervising and controlling contractors, permits to work, etc.Essential criteria of this Maintenance Engineer role: - Multiskilled engineer: City & Guilds Level 3/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering- Experience in planned maintenance systems- Good H&S working knowledge- Effective communication skills- Logical and structured problem-solving approach
