Turning over £200 million annually, their range of products integrates new technologies with an emphasis on high performance LED's, focusing on energy savings and functionality. Over the past 40 years they have continually invested in new technology and quality people to join their expanding team. In the next 10 years their goal is to be a 1 billion turnover Group

What does an Area Sales Representative do?

As an ASR this is a field based sales role covering the Kent region. Therefore, candidates needs to be living in Kent or on the border. You will be representing their full range of lighting products mainly selling into the Electrical Wholesale market with some dealing directly with Electrical Contractors. This is largely an account management role and will involve several responsibilities including:

  • Developing relationships with Wholesale Branch Managers, Buyers and Trade Counters
  • Conducting product demonstrations and driving promotional activity
  • Follow monthly call plans to ensure all your customers are visited each month
  • Target upcoming project opportunities

Success in the role could lead to an opportunity to move into a more senior sales position, dealing with larger clients, or even leadership roles.

Who are they looking for?

This is an entry level role, meaning no prior sales experience is required. The company are looking for someone with a growth mentality, ready to roll up their sleeves and embrace challenges. Being a relationship builder, well organised and confident will definitely help.

A driving license is essential.
