THE ROLE

As a Junior Design Engineer your role is to collaborate on the design, development and transfer of Xeros’ technologies. Working within a multidisciplined technical team to provide product/industrial design skills and carrying out testing to provide performance evidence and information to enable deployment through our partnerships. The development and implementation of our technologies is a collaborative activity to ensure rapid progression of concepts and projects to quickly scale Xeros’ impact on the world.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-      Develop technologies from initial concepts to full products through iterative design processes utilising CAD, physical construction, and testing of prototypes.

-      Work together with the wider technical, development and commercialisation team across business units to ensure on-contract delivery of our technology licensing agreements

-      Collaborate with our licensing partners in various geographies and industries to support development, technology transfer, product launch and product support processes

-      Record, interpret and present results and information to colleagues at all levels internal and external.

-      Adhere to and uphold the safety and environmental principles Xeros believes in working with our team to constantly improve our environment.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

-      Graduate in a relevant design or engineering discipline.

-      Experience conducting practical hands-on work.

-      Evidence of working within a team environment.

-      Experience and proficiency in producing 3D CAD models in SolidWorks (or similar).

-      Able to conduct work with a logical and repeatable manner and excellent attention to detail.

-      Capability to distil and communicate complex technical information to varying audiences in report and presentation format.

-      Base knowledge of electro/mechanical products utilising fluids, pumps and motors etc. (water treatment/filtration would be beneficial but not crucial).

-      Excellent people skills; able to interact and build good working relationships with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.

-      Flexible approach and ability to learn that allows constructive collaboration with global colleagues and partners.
