Flights Executive (salary dependent on experience)This award-winning specialist tour operator creates tailor-made holidays and school trip programmes to select destinations all over the world. The holidays side of the business are looking for a Flights Executive to join their teamFlights Executive - What will I be doing ?

As Flights Executive you'll utilise your expertise to support the business in all matters relating to air, including sourcing the best air fares. You will collaborate with Sales, Administration and Product Teams to meet the needs of customers and work in a face paced and deadline driven environment to help to secure bookings.

  • Source and purchase airline tickets in the most cost-effective way.
  • Issue automated EMDs (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) to pay for deposits, seat reservations, excess baggage etc
  • Assist the Sales team with pricing more complex itineraries
  • Read, understand, and apply fare rules as per airline contracts. You should be familiar with the terminology associated with the rules and fare notes.
  • Request group seats/rates for ad-hoc tours and all allocations.
  • Check BSP Link on a weekly basis for correspondence. Action/check any ADMs (Agency Debit Memo) / ACMs (Agency Credit Memo), including querying any ADMs.
  • Ensure all flight information on customer documentation is accurate and current.
  • Action ADM and Amadeus queues.
  • Book airline seats on-line and in GDS.
  • Load and maintain fares management contracts in reservations system including loading and updating notes for passenger documents.

Flights Executive - What experience do I need?

Do you have a love for travel, different cultures and experiences? Do you have proven experience GDS (Amadeus) reservations skills and experience issuing, re-issuing and performing re-calculations of international and domestic airlines in a fast-paced environment? If you are, you could be just what we are looking for

  • Experience of working for a specialist tour operator in a similar role.
  • Experience of booking worldwide travel requirements using GDS.
  • Experience and full working knowledge of both net and published fares.
  • Working knowledge of IATA and currency regulations
  • Working knowledge of EMDs
  • Excellent eye for details and accuracy
  • Confident user of Office365.
  • GDS Fares and Ticketing Qualification
  • Fares qualifications BA1&2 or BA 1&2

Flights Executive - What else do I need to know?

They offer flexible hybrid working, with part of your week at their fabulous office and the remainder worked remotely. You will work a 5 day week 9 - 5 (35 hours a week). Additionally, you will provide Flights emergency phone cover on a rota basis, which will attract an additional payment. Salary is dependent on experience.
