Our client, a leading provider in the water sector, is looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Senior Design Manager based in the North West, with hybrid working options available. This permanent role involves leading projects through their design phases for a portfolio of projects, ensuring cost-effective, technically compliant, and buildable solutions are delivered in line with all stakeholder requirements, programme expectations, and engineering design procedures. Key Responsibilities: Commitment to excellence in Health & Safety (H&S) in design, complying with all relevant specifications, codes, rules, regulations, and H&S legislation. Identification and management of H&S hazards and effective communication of residual risks to stakeholders. Leading the design team to meet customer requirements and project objectives. Accountability for design expenditure, driving efficiency, and managing overall outturn costs. Organising all design elements, documenting in the Design Management Plan, and preparing monthly status updates. Attending and contributing to relevant programme, project, and technical meetings. Ensuring technical solutions are cost-effective while maintaining quality standards and on-time delivery.
