DescriptionBe an integral part of an agile team thats constantly pushing the envelope to enhance build and deliver top-notch technology products.As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms organization you are an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing building and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. Your role involves promoting significant business impact through your expertise and contributions utilizing deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of challenges across multiple technologies and applications. With one of the largest on-prem private cloud platforms JPMorgan Chase requires highly scaled distributed systems to interpret the vast operational observability data it generates. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic lead engineer to advance these platforms. Your background in software development data and distributed systems design will be essential in this role.Job responsibilitiesDesign implement and operate distributed telemetry systems to transport enrich and present Observability data for the firmWork with Clients and stakeholders to make recommendations for how to evolve our platform to meet customer needsProduce rich visualizations on this data to tell the story of JPMorgan Chases private cloud adoption growth and operationsRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm wide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respectRequired qualifications capabilities and skillsFormal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and proficient advanced experienceMultiple years experience of technical leadership in an equivalent roleHands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s)Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical fieldExperience building and scaling distributed systemsPreferred qualifications capabilities and skillsKnowledge of telemetry platforms like Prometheus GrafanaExperience deploying applications on Kubernetes (experience managing Kubernetes clusters a bonus)Mastery of multiple programming languages and/or paradigms (Golang a bonus)Required Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Academics,Hardware & Networking,ASP.NET,Business Operations,Barista,ERP Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
