We are recruiting a Junior Tax Adviser to join our fast-paced tax team. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, ATT qualified tax adviser to join our dynamic tax department and continue building their career for the 23/24 campaign. Our tax team sit beside our wealth management team providing a pro-active, holistic and bespoke service to our clients.
Job Role
You will support a portfolio of personal tax clients, dealing with all areas of tax compliance and tax planning. This will involve:- Researching, analysing and interpreting changing tax legislation in the UK;
- Meeting with clients and collating information;
- Working with tax law and revenue provisions;
- Preparing and submitting individual returns by the deadline;
- Liaising and negotiating with HMRC on behalf of the client;
- Creating tax strategies for personal clients and planning their financial futures;
- Carrying out detailed computations to calculate tax liability and advising on how to minimise a client's liability;
- Working collaboratively with the Financial Adviser to build tax-efficient investment strategies for clients
- Establishing and structuring trusts;
- Estate planning and advising on tax residence and domicile matters;
- Advising on and implementing remuneration strategies, tax-efficient share and option schemes and exit strategies;
- Producing reports and presentations for clients;
- Reviewing the work of other members of the team
- Experience of qualifications
- ATT Qualified
- 2-3 years’ previous experience in an advisory capacity in a tax/accountancy firm, managing own portfolio of clients.
- Experience in dealing with a wide range of personal tax planning
- Requirements
Your experience should include the following:
- Experience in managing or supporting your portfolio of clients.
- Strong technical tax ability with the ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to colleagues and clients.
- Experience in ownership and management of your workflow.
- Confident in liaising with clients.
