Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLAs largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation Precision Motion Control Sensors & Image Acquisition Platform Design and Packaging Engineering among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel China India and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs but also subject matter expertise best practices roadmaps specialized facilities apparatus models and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do but also in HOW we do it.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsMechanical Engineering part of the Central Engineering group at KLA is critical to both our product groups and our customers. We are an award-winning group who owns the end-to-end design prototyping testing and delivery of groundbreaking packaging solutions and sophisticated product range.We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is hands on self-motivated and a great teammate The candidate will be collaborating with multi-functional teams during the design process to detail the packaging designs and procedures done by our group.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Working with the Mechanical / Packaging engineers to capture requirements design test document and release packaging.Test fit packaging containers to ensure accurate fit and work closely with collaborators to identify any special handling and safety requirements.Perform tasks with minimal direction and supervision and employ good project management practices to align with time-related work.Advocate to internal customers or suppliers on efficient packaging procedures packaging materials and utilization of protective packaging systems.Maintain suppliers in the region working as part of the wider packaging engineering team.KLA is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
