Office Assistant Location: Bartley SO40 2LH (On-site based position)Salary: £11.50 - £12.50 per hourHours: Part Time, 20-25 hours per weekOur client, founded in 2022, is a privately owned, independent analytical laboratory based in Bartley near Southampton, Hampshire, UK. They specialise in the analysis of Dioxins/Furans, PCBs, PFAS (including PFOS and PFOA testing), and other Persistent Organic Pollutants in environmental samples such as soil, ash, sediment, sludge, and water (effluent, surface, and ground).The RoleAs an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day office tasks, including:Responding to customer emailsLogging samples into the systemCreating Excel and PDF reportsScanning and organising documentsSkills and Qualifications Strong organisational skills with attention to detailAbility to prioritise and adapt to changing demandsExcellent listening skills and a good short-term memoryAbility to work independently, with self-motivation and initiativeProblem-solving skills—able to identify issues and resolve them through administrative processes or by consulting the relevant peopleGood writing and communication skills, able to clearly articulate problems and solutions to both internal teams and customersCompetency with IT, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and email platformsEffective time and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlinesA focus on accuracy, ensuring all work is thoroughly checked and correct before submissionBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceContributory pension schemeOngoing training and career development opportunitiesAnnual Christmas shutdownTo Apply If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for this reputable company, then please do not hesitate to apply
