Location:- UK Wide

Travel Required:- Yes

Level/Salary Range:- £30,000 (with overtime and night-out allowance)

Hours:- 48 hours per week

Role and Responsibilities

As a Pipefitter, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient installation, modification, and maintenance of pipework systems. You will adhere to company rules, regulations, and health and safety laws. Your key duties as a Pipefitter will include:

On-site work

  • Attend customer sites to carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks related to pipework systems.
  • As a Pipefitter, you will handle installations, modifications, decommissioning, and maintenance of essential equipment such as pipework, tanks, gauges, alarms, filters, valves, pumps, and filtration systems.
  • Perform fuel quality tasks, including sampling, uplifting, transferring, and filtering fuel.
  • Test tanks and pipework systems to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Conduct site inspections and complete relevant surveys, including Oil Storage Regulations, OFTEC questionnaires, and DSEAR reporting.
  • Respond to fuel spills, performing containment and clean-up as necessary.

Daily tasks

  • Review and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and complete Dynamic Risk Assessments as needed.
  • Safely use tools to remove hazardous materials, avoiding unnecessary risks.
  • As a Pipefitter, assist line management in ensuring that personnel, contractors, and visitors follow site safety rules.
  • Collaborate with your team to enhance the development of equipment, plants, and systems to improve safety, environmental standards, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote safety, health, environmental, and quality awareness among team members, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Report equipment faults and operational difficulties to line management.
  • Help maintain plant systems and machinery.
  • Participate in and assist with ongoing training.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and ensure proper loading and unloading of materials in line with health and safety standards.
  • As a Pipefitter, ensure the security of all company vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicate with customers on-site regarding ongoing work and potential future services.
  • Complete and submit work-related paperwork in a timely manner using the company CRM.
  • Clean all plant and equipment after jobs are completed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • UKPIA SPA (Desirable)
  • SMSTS (Desirable)
  • OFTEC (Desirable)
  • CSCS (Desirable)
  • IOSH (Desirable)
