Technical Project Manager

Technical Project Manager required by a long-standing Electrical Manufacturer that’s poised for an exciting period of growth. You’ll have full ownership of project management relating to new product developments (NPD); championing, monitoring, and upholding the NPD process, to ensure projects are correctly scoped, specified, managed, and delivered.
What we offer

Role
- Reporting to the VP of Engineering
- Full ownership of project management relating NPD
- Working with Product Management to scope, specify and devise projects, delivering the requirements of the product roadmap
- Providing project estimation, risk assessment and problem solving
- Working with various stakeholders across technical, manufacturing, innovation and commercial teams, as well as product management
- Driving continuous improvement in the NPD process and in the various teams
- Supporting activities to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met
- To evolve and develop project management processes and skills within the organisation
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right decisions are made during the development process, balancing the needs of all players concerned
- Own the regular monitoring of KPI’s relating to product development and reporting of NPD status to the exec team
- To ensure that all documentation relating to product development is generated and of high quality
- To effectively communicate project progress and KPIs to product managers or project leaders and senior management, highlighting in good time important issues, risks and milestones
Requirements
- Engineering background – Understanding some of electronics, software, firmware and mechanical design
- Exposure to working with a physical product and manufacturing environment
- Continuous Improvement
- Able to translate customer requirements into concrete technical specifications
- Competent in conducting risk analysis at a technical and commercial level
- Worked in a well-structured project management environment, involvement from concept to production
Bonus

- Working in an industry where products meet stringent test and validation requirements

- Experience of regulatory approvals including CE, CA, UL or others
Benefits
