Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small to mediumsized landing gear systems. As a key part of the Centre of Division, supports several global programs, including: Gripen – SAAB, Hawk - BAE Systems, KF21 - Hanwha Aerospace, AW101 - Leonardo Helicopters. With a strong focus on cutting-edge technology, advanced manufacturing processes, and lean techniques, we are committed to delivering high-value, precision-engineered components for complex landing gear systems.Job SummaryTo lead the Manufacturing Engineering team, driving process improvements, equipment reliability, and manufacturing excellence to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. The role will focus on continuous improvement, new product introduction, and optimising manufacturing processes to meet business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of manufacturing and process engineers.Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support production goals.Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) ensuring seamless transition from design to production.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance).Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including OEE, scrap rate, downtime, and throughput.Manage budgets, capital expenditure (CAPEX), and resource planning for engineering projects.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Develop engineering talent through coaching, training, and performance management.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).Proven experience in manufacturing engineering leadership within a production environment.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.Experience managing capital projects and process automation.Knowledge of CNC machining, assembly processes, or high-volume manufacturing is desirable.What we Offer?Generous group pension plan with up to 7.5% employer contribution matched by employees.
