Director, Financial Advisory | London, UK – Hybrid Working


Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to join their Financial Advisory team in London. This role is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to drive business development, lead client mandates, and significantly contribute to the success of the firm.


As a Director, you will take the helm in identifying and securing new financial advisory mandates, focusing on the infrastructure and energy sectors. You will oversee the day-to-day delivery and execution of client projects, ensuring timely and high-quality services. This position also offers the unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the advisory practice and manage a talented team of professionals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Proactively identify and secure new financial advisory mandates.
  • Lead the execution of financial advisory mandates across infrastructure and energy sectors.
  • Oversee the delivery of financial advisory work by team members, including reviewing financial modelling and client deliverables.
  • Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of services to clients.
  • Negotiate fee levels and ensure the profitability of financial advisory projects.
  • Develop and manage long-term client relationships.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within the firm.
  • Contribute to the development of the advisory strategy.
  • Support risk management initiatives within the firm.
  • Line management responsibilities.


Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:


  • Extensive experience in infrastructure and project finance transactions, particularly in energy transition, within a financial advisory or lending/investment role.
  • Strong understanding of key commercial and financial aspects of project finance.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling for project finance.
  • Demonstrated business development and origination experience.
  • Established network of contacts within the infrastructure and energy sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
