  • Apply wireframing and prototyping techniques to rapidly build & validate responsive experiences

  • Take a pragmatic approach to balance the ideal experience with making trade-offs considering technical constraints, risk and business needs

  • Apply atomic design principles to create functional, accessible and scalable patterns

  • Ensure final designs are on-brand, bringing our luxury & heritage brand to life with a premium aesthetic

  • Work closely with architects, business analysts and developers to ensure your solutions are technically feasible and communicated effectively

  • Be responsible for delivering pixel perfect design, from defining detailed specifications for developers, through to QA and launch

  • Deliver measured improvements to customer experiences across web, mobile app and internal systems

  • Collaborate with external design & development partners, including leading our external designers brought on to scale up and down the design team as needed

  • Build a strong working relationship with our CX Manager to interpret CX challenges & co-design customer journeys

What you will bring to the role

  • You work to deliver outcomes, not outputs and can demonstrate your successes

  • You have excellent attention to detail and high standards for your design outputs

  • You are able to adapt and flex to changing business requirements, understanding that the brief might evolve as you work on it

  • You are an advocate for User-centred design

  • Comfortable working with our product teams, stakeholders across the business and are not afraid to challenge the status-quo

  • You are proactive in asking for and giving feedback to your peers, to constantly refine our work

  • You are able to manage your own time to hit deadlines, and manage stakeholder expectations

Your Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience building cross device experiences ideally for high-end, luxury brands

  • Comfortable working with analytics (Quant) & customer research (Qual)

  • Strong understanding of Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Navigation, Interface & Information design

  • Expert in creating responsive UI designs, with an understanding of modern platform design standards & frameworks (grid systems, spacing etc)

  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles, looking beyond the static to define smooth in-page interactions and transitions,

  • Strong understanding of typography, colour, layout and visual design principles

  • Proficient in using Figma, and working with and contributing to pattern libraries

  • Proficient in designing for accessibility, and are familiar with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and how to meet these criteria

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS, enough to understand how development techniques impact design and to help communication with developers

  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle

  • Experience working in cross-functional agile teams

  • Proficient in conducting competitor analysis across our sector and the luxury market.

We support our colleagues with a wide range of benefits: 1 Personal Day, Private Medical cover & Health plan, Life Insurance, Pension, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), generous Employee discount (up to 40% off products), and many more.

Closing date: 2nd August 2024
