Join Coinford Groundwork & Concrete Frame SpecialistsCoinford are industry leaders in groundwork and concrete frame construction known for delivering excellence across major UK projects.Were currently seeking an experienced Gangermanto join our team someone who can lead from the front operate safely around live services and help drive site productivity to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a small team of groundworkers ensuring safe efficient and high-quality delivery of all site activitiesOperate plant and machinery confidently and safely including lifting operations in line with current legislation and company proceduresCarry out and brief daily risk assessments method statements and toolbox talksSupervise and assist with drainage ducting and service installation works with particular attention to identifying and working safely around live buried servicesOversee setup and use of trench boxes drag boxes manhole boxes and pipe lasersSupervise pipe laying (concrete clay plastic) ensuring correct levels bedding testing and reinstatementManage groundwater and select appropriate pumps and dewatering methodsOversee completion of external works including kerbing edging paving and landscapingRead and interpret technical drawings and site plans converting site programmes into actionable daily and weekly targetsDrive high standards in Quality Health & Safety and production by motivating and supporting your teamLiaise with Site Management and assist with coordinating sub-contractors to maintain smooth site operationsEssential Skills & Qualifications:SSSTS (minimum) SMSTS desirableMinimum 5 years experience in groundworks with proven leadership experience as a GangermanExcellent understanding of site safety risk assessment and method statement proceduresStrong ability to read drawings plan ahead and manage workloads effectivelyDesirable:Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets (e.g. Telehandler Dumper Roller)Experience managing multi-skilled gangs or specialist sub-contractors510 years industry experience across a variety of civil engineering and groundworks projectsCommitment to ongoing training and professional developmentWhat Were Looking For:Reliable punctual and professional attitudeStrong leadership communication and time management skillsCommercial awareness and ability to deliver cost-effective resultsTeam player who works well with other trades and supports overall project deliveryRight to work in the UKApply now and build your future with Coinford.
