This is a key role in the department reporting to the Packhouse Supervisor. You will ensure the production machines are kept in clean, efficient, audit ready condition. Responsibilities include: Operate and maintain machinery to ensure smooth production. Monitor product quality, ensuring all finished goods meet specifications. Oversee machine room cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and staff hygiene. Manage production schedules, crop rotation, and packaging processes. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations. Complete production records accurately, including cleaning, maintenance, and traceability reports. Lead and support staff in the machine packing area, ensuring efficiency and safety. Work closely with the Packhouse Manager and technical team to resolve quality and operational issues. What we're looking for? Dependable and self-motivated Strong communication skills Reliable and efficient with the willingness to learn Ability to work as team Respecting of rules and regulations Due to the location of the role, there is no public transport in the area, therefore access to your own transport would be required Machine Operator experience is desirable Working hours You will work 48 hours per week, working 5 shifts out of 7 on a rota basis. Shift times are between 07.00 and 17.30 and will be confirmed on a rota basis. A degree of flexibility will be required. About Us Watts Farms is a third-generation family run business.
