Our client stands as one of the leading crypto-native algorithmic trading firms in the digital assets space. They provide liquidity across a wide array of cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms, offer comprehensive OTC trading solutions, and support prominent blockchain projects alongside traditional financial institutions venturing into the crypto market. Additionally, their venture arm invests in promising early-stage DeFi initiatives.

Our client is looking for a Legal Counsel - Derivatives to bolster their rapidly expanding derivatives business, particularly focusing on OTC derivatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate commercial agreements related to derivatives
  • Engage in external negotiations with counterparties and their legal representatives
  • Conduct regulatory compliance research pertaining to derivatives
  • Develop a comprehensive derivatives framework tailored to the business needs
  • Provide legal advisory services and implement compliant solutions
  • Participate in additional legal projects as required

Required Skills:

  • 3-7 years of experience as a derivatives trading lawyer or markets lawyer
  • Proven track record in negotiating ISDA agreements and other OTC derivatives
  • Experience in creating templates and internal guidelines is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to OTC derivatives
