Job Overview:

We are seeking an Unlicensed Avionics Mechanic to join our client’s esteemed engineering team based in Wiltshire. With a 40-year heritage in the rotary field, our client is renowned for maintaining Leonardo aircraft. This role offers an opportunity to engage in a variety of engineering duties, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance for aircraft. You will collaborate with licensed engineers and contribute to the smooth operation of the facilities, both on-site and off-site.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Engineering Duties: Report directly and engage in any engineering duties prescribed by Company Licensed Engineers and the Engineering Manager/Base Manager.
  • Maintenance: Carry out both line and base maintenance at any of the facilities, and off-site upon company requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and standards of work are completed in relation to aircraft, components, and documentation.
  • Tool and Equipment Use: Use and maintain any company-provided tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner.
  • Component Maintenance: Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various aircraft components.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with CAA/EASA and Company standards.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure facilities, equipment, and premises are maintained to an acceptable standard.
  • Safety Promotion: Promote safety within the workplace and ensure all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines.
  • Task Efficiency: Complete all tasks as specified in an efficient and compliant manner, ensuring that safety matters are always considered and adhered to.
  • Issue Reporting: Report and confer with Licensed Engineers and Management on any maintenance issues that could impact safety or job completion dates.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
  • Technical Analysis: Analyse and interpret technical aircraft information.
  • Ground Operations: Carry out all required aircraft ground operations such as aircraft moving, refueling, and cleaning.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Eligibility: All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be able to obtain security clearance due to the location of this position.
  • Experience: Prior experience in aircraft maintenance, particularly with rotary aircraft, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with CAA/EASA regulations and standards.
  • Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
