Finance Manager Duties:


  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans for contracts/sites, including detailed variance analysis and presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate as a Business Partner with operational teams, holding them accountable for their forecasts and budgets while offering valuable analysis and insights to drive performance.
  • Conduct labor and productivity analysis, providing meaningful support to the operational teams to enhance efficiency and optimize resource allocation.
  • Manage and provide contractual financial information for customer reporting, such as gain share submissions, PPC reporting, KPIs, labor forecasting, and operational performance tracking, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end sales to production planning process, contributing to quarterly revenue forecasts and gross margin assessments.
  • Generate monthly management accounts, accompanied by comprehensive site commentaries to enhance understanding and facilitate decision-making.
  • Support the monthly reviews of new business/projects/pricing, diligently tracking progress and performance.
  • Offer financial support to achieve key performance measurement and efficiency targets, aiding in the growth and success of the business.
  • Reconcile operational data with financial accounts and other relevant source data systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
  • Assume responsibility for producing customer-facing balance sheet control account reconciliations, promptly addressing any rectification actions required.
  • Complete contract-specific journals to accurately record financial transactions and maintain precise financial records.
  • Develop and maintain a contract-based financial model, ensuring technical accuracy and relevance.
  • Prepare quarterly contract review presentations, identifying future opportunities and potential risks to support strategic decision-making.
  • Create short-term cash forecasts with detailed variance analysis, enabling effective cash flow management.
  • Conduct working capital analysis to assess the organization's liquidity and financial health.
  • Produce revenue reconciliations, meticulously comparing billed and unbilled revenue for each contract/site.


Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in ACCA ACA or CIMA
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Background in Manufacturing, Engineering, Defence, or related fields
