Design Technician

We are expanding our Design Team and are seeking experiencedDesign Technicians to join our talented team. The successful applicants will be working on a variety of exciting projects whilst being afforded the opportunity to enhance their design skills and develop their career working on high profile projects within the marine, themed attractions and fit out sector. As a Design Technician, you will draft precise production & site drawing details in collaboration with our technical Production Team with a common aim of bringing concept to life with quality, sustainability and excellence at the heart of everything we do. Main Duties/Activities: You will be involved in the entire design process from concept stage to drafting a high standard of production & site drawings. Effectively communicate with stakeholders to understand & execute the project requirements. Create design illustrations as per project specifications using 2D & 3D Software. Produce production drawings, job sheets and cutting lists for our workshop team. In collaboration with other teams, you will ensure design drawings exceeds client expectations. Problem solve and approach all tasks with a can-do attitude. Attend surveys when required and ensure all relevant information is documented for development and retention through the design, production, and installation process. Essential Criteria Fully competent in the use of SolidWorks & AutoCAD At least 2 years similar experience within a design office environment. Innovative thinker. Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills Ability to effectively manage workload and achieve deadlines. Desirable Criteria Previous joinery design experience 3rd level degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Skills: Design Furniture Design Solidworks Creative Innovative Joinery
