Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Telecoms Construction Manager to become a key member of the team and have competency to deliver and manage all aspects of Telecoms installations, technical assurance, commercial and contract management within the Rail sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all construction project activities including actions of AtkinsRéalis, subcontractors, suppliers, clients,and their representatives.
  • Direct and implement the overall project safety programs and ensure adherence to local and national Regulatory safety codes.
  • Develop the project construction organisation. Ensure the organisation is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilisation.
  • Review project cost and schedule performance through progress reporting and project analysis in coordination with Project Controls Manager/ Quantity Surveyors (QS).
  • Ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken, and monitor and analyse project safety, cost, schedule and quality performance.
  • Control project expenditures and services and ensure field operations are within the budget.
  • Maintain client relationship. The SCM is the primary contact for client's communication with the field activities.
  • Adherence to All AtkinsRéalis construction procedures and processes and any deviation noted and approved by Technical Head of Construction.
  • Maintain an effective relationship with all other AtkinsRéalis functional departments.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the HOTT process.
  • Coordinate all project contractual activities. Participate in contracts and subcontracts negotiations during project implementation.
  • Coordinate all construction activities to fully support project plans and schedules.
  • Direct the development and implementation of a training program to ensure subordinate personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with the Testing and Commissioning Manager.
  • Ensure required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the affected work at site.
  • Ensure that various construction teams have the capability to execute assigned scope in a safe, secure and cost-effective manner in accordance with the cost, technical, schedule, and quality baselines.
  • Assist Lead Construction Engineers with balancing and prioritizing construction resources to support successful execution.
  • Support the QS by reviewing change notice proposals to establish cost and impact to the total subcontract value, budget, and overall project forecast.
  • Accountable for providing the appropriate provisions for temporary and permanent site setup Accountabilities.
  • Reports to Practice Director for Construction Delivery.
  • To the Project Manager/Director for execution of assigned responsibilities within a project.
