Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting a Class 2 (Cat C / HGV2) lorry driver to work with one of our clients based in the Leith area of Edinburgh.

Prior to application, we ask that all candidates have:

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards

Held their Category C licence for at least 1 year, with at least 6 months of relevant driving experience

No more than 6 points on their licence (DD, DR, CD, and IN endorsements are not accepted due to insurance stipulations)

Class 2 drivers responsibilities include:

Carrying out daily vehicle checks

Making deliveries of bags of flour to bakeries and shops in and around central Scotland

Filling out any appropriate paperwork

Refuelling and loading the vehicle for the next day upon return

The successful Class 2 Driver can expect:

Monday – Friday: £ 13.50 PAYE

Overtime after 8hrs: £ 17.99 PAYE,

05:00-06:00 am Starts

Weekly Pay

Holiday accrual with every shift

8hrs minimum guaranteed pay per day

Due to the nature of the role, you must be comfortable with some heavy lifting, as the bags of flour can weigh up to 25kg. You will have a porter on occasion to assist with larger deliveries.

This position is commutable from Dalkeith, East Lothian, and other surrounding areas.
