Based: Remote/Bristol or Leeds or Halifax or Manchester or Edinburgh or London - Max 2 days p/w onsite
Rate: £525 - £550 p/d - (via Umbrella company)

We're looking to recruit Senior GCP Infra DevOps Engineer to be part of our Public Cloud Platform and help achieve our mission to provide compliant and efficient Google Cloud Infra, product and DevOps capabilities for the Group and drive innovation to enable customers to have rapid and seamless Google Cloud Adoption and build their business journeys more scalable, resilient and efficient . Your role will be part of a cross-disciplinary feature team in addition to being a highly experienced member of our wider engineering team delivering change.

Key Responsibilities:
* Bring in your GCP Cloud Infra and Engineering skills to curate and engineer Cloud Resources and make their Cloud Adoption journey seamless.
* Identify areas of improvement and innovation harnessing your Google Cloud competencies to make services more Secure, reliant, self-serve and autonomous.
* Hands-on GCP Cloud Engineering with a strong GCP DevOps and CI/CD background
* Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and proven experience in Terraform / Terraform Cloud.
* Strong hands on experience on curating GCP Cloud Products and Infrastructure
* Build automated workflows around the products using Python Scripting.
* Proficient in Google Kubernetes (GKE), Container, Istio Service Mesh, Cluster Management
* Audit and restructure existing Terraform modules and state files
* Migrate legacy configurations into unified, reusable templates
* Implement security-focused Terraform modules with embedded guardrails and policy-as-code (e.g., Sentinel, OPA)
* Enforce GCP Org Policies with constraints like IP restrictions, network policy, Access Management, encryption, and region control for secure, compliant cloud governance
* CI/CD Integration
* Implement automation pipelines for infrastructure-as-code deployments

Key Skills & Experience:
* GCP Cloud Engineering, GCP DevOps & Infra
* Terraform / Terraform Cloud (IaaC)
* Python Scripting.
* Harness, Jenkins, GitHub
* Google Kubernetes (GKE), Container, Istio Service Mesh
* GCP Organisation Policy, Custom Org Policy (Policy as a Code) - Sentinel/OPA
* GCP and Terraform Certified
* Good to have experience working in an IDE Platform for Cloud Engineering (e.g. Backstage)
