Kitchen Porter

Baxterstorey is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness United Kingdom. As a Kitchen Porter you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations ensuring a smooth workflow for our culinary team.Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment utensils and work areas to maintain high hygiene standardsDealing with deliveries bringing in stock and putting it away.Operate dishwashing machines and handle manual washing of pots pans and other kitchen itemsAssist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staffOrganise and store kitchen supplies and equipment in their designated areasEmpty and clean waste bins ensuring proper disposal of rubbishSupport the kitchen team by replenishing supplies and assisting with deliveriesAdhere to all health and safety regulations including food hygiene standardsMaintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment throughout the shiftReport any faulty equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisorAssist with additional kitchen duties as requiredQualifications : Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periodsKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe handling of cleaning chemicalsFamiliarity with kitchen equipment and utensilsUnderstanding of basic food hygiene and safety practicesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessGood communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamFlexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekendsPrevious experience in a similar role or kitchen environment is desirable but not essentialWillingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff and managementAdditional Information : For almost 20 years for every client in every location (whether thats an office stadium cathedral or university) we have created beautiful spaces exciting menus and friendly teams so that each and every customer can have the hospitality experience they deserve.We need the brightest and the best to join us to make this all possible.
