Our international City firm client is currently looking to recruit a talented Corporate Solicitor to join the London team, ideally with 3-5 years' experience in M&A (public or private) and general Corporate governance advisory work, across a range of sectors. Sector experience or experience in ECM deals or Private Equity deals is helpful, but not essential.

Capable of handling high-value, cross-border transactions, the firm is regularly instructed by an impressive roster of clients, covering a wide range of sectors. The firm is committed to a major programme of lateral hire investment, which will enhance its brand in the City and ensure its Corporate practice is capable of winning an increased share of high value deals. This City initiative has very strong backing from the board, and the Corporate team has ambitious plans for growth. Within the last twelve months, the London team has completed the lateral hires of three high profile Corporate Partners.

The Corporate team is consistently ranked in the Top 10 by number of M&A deals in the UK by Mergermarket, as well as for the number of listed clients (both AIM and overall) by Adviser Rankings. It is the most well-represented firm in the Legal 500 UK, with the highest number of practice rankings across UK as a whole and the highest number of top tier rankings across UK, a position maintained year-on-year.

The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm, or a large regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent, but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player, with a strong client-focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
