Occupational Health Nurse Location: Wolverhampton / West Bromich AboutJoin one of the UK's largest food manufacturers, with an annual turnover exceeding £3 billion and approximately 13,000 employees across 16 sites.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational health cover to agency staffThey would actively support the Company health campaigns within the engagement plan improving staff turnoverHome visits would support long term sick return to work reducing absenceThey will be able to advise the site on any changes in law / legislation etc, minimising the legal risks to the companyFood handler assessmentsAdvise on preventative healthcareThe main part of the role is to undertake confined space health assessments and fork lift drivers health assessments and night shift workers assessmentsThere will be management referrals and advise regarding capability and rehabilitation Key SkillsEssentialQualification: Degree in Occupational Health Experience / Knowledge: Forklift Truck medicalsDSE assessment (The assessment can be done by anyone trained in DSE assessment, but Occupational Health need to be involved if any problems are found)Night Worker MedicalsNew and Expectant Mothers Risk Assessment (manager and OH)Skin surveillanceEngineers' medicals (new starters test for colour blindness)LGV medicals (this is done by the drivers GP and certificates kept with managers)Vibration White fingerLead, Asbestos, RadiationDesirableDrugs and Alcohol SupportHealth Education
