HENI is at the cutting edge of art and tech using the latest and best technologies, to make art accessible to audiences worldwide.Position OverviewWe are seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to work across our arts focused content creation, including HENI Talks and our new art podcasts division.This role combines traditional video editing expertise with specialised podcast content knowledge and social media optimisation skills. You will craft compelling visual narratives about art and artists while managing multi-platform distribution requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Production & EditingEdit video footage into compelling art documentaries and visual narratives with strong pacing, structure, and emotional impactCollaborate with directors/producers on storyboarding, visual style, and tone development for art-focused contentManage post-production workflows including sound design, colour grading, and graphics integrationIncorporate music, sound effects, and branding elements that complement art subject matterEnsure consistent quality across all documentary episodes and podcast projectsPodcast Content SpecialisationEdit audio and video streams for art podcasts with understanding of conversational flow and pacingMaintain authentic conversational style while enhancing clarity and engagement around art topicsOptimise podcast content for both audio-only and video viewing experiencesApply strong storytelling instincts specific to art documentary and podcast formatsSocial Media & Content RepurposingTransform long-form content into engaging, shareable short clips optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other platformsApply branding elements, stings, subtitles, and sound design to social contentManage upload processes and content delivery across all platformsStay current with digital trends and platform-specific best practicesRequired Skills & ExperienceTechnical Expertise3-5 years’ experience in similar roleProficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)Strong audio editing and mixing techniquesExperience with colour grading, sound design, and motion graphicsKnowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression for different platformsCreative & Strategic SkillsExcellent storytelling abilities with strong narrative structure senseUnderstanding of pacing, rhythm, and emotional flow in long and short-form contentCreative eye for visual composition, transitions, and effectsAbility to maintain brand consistency while adapting for different audiencesIndustry KnowledgeUnderstanding of podcast landscape and industry trendsKnowledge of social media algorithms and content optimisation strategiesAwareness of current digital trends and emerging platformsUnderstanding of audience behaviour across social media channelsCollaboration & CommunicationStrong collaborative skills for working with directors, producers, and content creatorsAbility to take creative direction while contributing innovative ideasExcellent project management and deadline management skillsIdeal CandidateYou will combine technical video editing expertise with passion for art content, podcast production, and social media trends.
