Hinckley, United Kingdom EES Solutions Full time

Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Motorcycle

Location: Hinckley

Employment Type: Contract

IR35 Determination: Inside IR35

Who We Are:

At EES Solutions, we are at the forefront of pioneering engineering solutions spanning across diverse sectors like Rail, Automotive, Marine, and Energy. In this specific contract position, you'll be working hand-in-hand with our dedicated automotive clientele.

What You'll Do:

You will be at the helm of the electrical and systems components, driving their lifecycle from conception to integration. Your key role will involve collaborating closely with suppliers, developing and integrating the electrical systems. Bridging the gap between suppliers and project teams will be a significant part of your responsibility, ensuring the quality and punctuality of deliverables. Immersing yourself in systems engineering principles, you'll be pivotal in the evolution and integration of components.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the electrical component and system lifecycle, from inception to integration. This is the crucial part of the role, and unfortunately due to the nature of the role we must politely decline any applications without direct experience in this area.
  • Collaborate intimately with the technical systems delivery team and customer stakeholders.
  • Define testing methodologies ensuring the alignment of electrical components with customer requirements.
  • Serve as the key link between suppliers and project teams, upholding standards of quality and time.
  • Engage deeply with systems engineering principles in the advancement and integration of components.
  • Regularly update the JIRA system for optimized project tracking, risk evaluation, and issues management.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Robust practical experience in an Electrical Engineering role with a pronounced focus on component-specific tasks.
  • An engineer who is capable of developing good quality robust requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in steering and overseeing the delivery of electrical systems.
  • An understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.
  • Experience in supplier/OEM roles and the seamless delivery of premium components.
  • Experience of working in project engineering, with skills in planning, interfacing with clients, and navigating change and risks.

It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have:

  • Understanding of Automotive Network Architecture and communication protocols.
  • Hands on experience with Diagnostic tools, specifically CANalyzer, used for system/component interrogation.
  • Exposure to Engineering Quality Toolsets, notably Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA).
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet and LIN.
  • An academic background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science, or an equivalent blend of qualification and experience.
  • Proficiency in component, system and software test verification strategies.

If you feel your experience is aligned to the above job specification then you're the candidate we're searching for. Join our team and be instrumental in sculpting the future of engineering solutions. There is also the possibility of this becoming a permanent role.
