You will also learn analysis techniques (including GLM decision trees GBM random forests neural networks etc) used in the industry as well as learning about the Motor Insurance Market and the relevant standards and regulations.You will use these skills to analyse and build predictive riskmodels using traditional statistical and machine learning modelling techniques. These will be used to solve key company questions by providing analysis insight and competitive advantage to the company producing analysis and reports that maximize customer satisfaction and the probability of the company.Core skills were looking for to succeed in the role: Excellent data and statistical analysis skillsGood numerical skillsGood communication skillsExperience in programming (such as Python/R/SQL/SAS/Databricks)Whats involved: Learn all relevant tools and techniquesProduction of business analysis reportsAd hoc project work providing analysis to the motor functionMaintenance of analysis code usingappropriateprogramming languages.Write new analysis code usingappropriatesoftware packagesBuild predicative models using appropriate software packagesPresent findings and results in a clear and logical manner; produce written reportsPositive manner with ability to communicate well with all colleagues and stakeholdersAny other reasonable duties as requiredQualifications Minimum 2:1 in a numerical undergraduate disciplineExperience MS Office tools (in particular Excel)Statistical techniquesProgramming experience preferred: SAS/Python/RSkills & knowledge Strong mathematical skillsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to adopt logical approach to solving problemsExcellent data and statistical analysis skillsStrong IT Skills (including Excel and ideally programming skills)Good communications skills both verbal and writtenGood time management and organisational skillsBroad knowledge of statistical methods and techniquesGood knowledge of the motor insurance products and the motor insurance industry after appropriate trainingSolid understanding of the business objectives and operationsBehaviors Logical thinker with solid reasoning abilityCommercially focusesEmphasis on attention to detail and accuracyQuick learnerAble to transfer skills and knowledge to othersSelf-motivated and enthusiasticAn organized and pro-active approachAbility to work to own initiative and as part of a teamFlexible approach and positive attitudeStrives to drive business improvements to contribute to the successAre you the person were looking for If so we look forward to hearing from you.
