In addition, you will lead the strategic planning of projects. You will also play an active role in identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency and quality of the scientific content team, driving continuous improvement across the organisation.With a vibrant and sociable team environment, intensive on-the-job coaching, and a program of targeted training supplemented by an excellent benefits package, my client values the differences in their employees and emphasises creating opportunities for advancement that complement and develop strengths and further careers.Role & Responsibilities:Provide high-level medical writing support within accounts, achieving writing excellence across therapy areas and the communication mix and target audiencesReview written scientific documents for writing style, strategy, content accuracy and fact/data checking, and provide constructive feedback, in addition to ensuring scientific accuracyAct as the Technical Lead on designated client projectsApply expertise and broad experience of medical communications to the development of strategic communications programmes across accountsEnsure all assigned projects are delivered to the highest possible editorial and scientific standards, to deadline and within budgetDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and external thought leadersManage and monitor own workload. Monitor project budgets. Anticipate and provide solutions to budget and/or resource needs or limitations. Identify where new processes may be required and support their developmentKeep up to date with industry codes of practice/legislation and external issues or events that may affect existing accountsMonitor project costs against agreed budgets and notify the Client Services team of any changes to specification at the earliest opportunityContribute to the development of account plan forecasts in liaison with client services leadsResearch and contribute to the writing and review of new business proposals and pitch presentations, playing a central role from initial strategic brainstorming to proposal deliveryProactively identify possible new business opportunities within assigned accountsRequirements: Degree (science, preferably life science); PhD or MSc (desirable)Scientific knowledge and understandingProficiency in delivering high-quality written workHigh level of drive, motivation, and initiativeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSome international travel will be necessaryAwareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their application5+ years of experience as a Medical Writer in a medical communications agency#medcomms #medicalcommunications #medicalwriter #medicaleducation #healthcareadvertising #healthcare #pharmaPrincipal Medical Writer – Medical Communications
