Orbition Group are working with one of the world's leading specialist professional recruitment groups and they are now seeking an individual to step into a new created role within the business as a Chief Data Officer.


My client is at the start of their journey and already have Data Engineers & Analysts in place who are sat in a central function. This role will not require you to have a team that you will be leading however you will be able to utilise the technical team for projects that are in place.


This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and implementing their global data strategy, establishing data governance and ensuring the right data & insights are provided to the senior leadership team.


The purpose of the position, is that my client is missing opportunities by not connecting data across different industries that they are currently operating in.


Being part of the leadership team, you will report into the CCO, who directly reports into the CEO.


Core Responsibilities & Skills


  • Develop and implement a robust and Group-wide data strategy aligned with their business objectives
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework, focusing on data quality and lineage.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, fostering a data-driven culture.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a cross-border and cross-functional team, with a forward thinking mindset.
  • Proven experience in a similar senior leadership role, ideally within a global organisation or the recruitment industry
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in data management, artificial intelligence, data ethics
